Black and white, 41 m² in Sofia

A 41 m² flat where all the storage disappears into two black volumes.

The brief

A 41 m² private apartment in Sofia. Designed in 2023, under construction at the time of publication.

At 41 m² there is no room for loose furniture. All the storage — wardrobe, larder, washing machines — went into two full-height black volumes that close the corridor and act as a backdrop to the living area.

Everything else is deliberately light: white panelled walls, white marble in the kitchen and herringbone oak on the floor. Black appears only where it does a job — handles, lamps, the tap, the television panel.
