Neoclassical without the weight: a mauve buttoned headboard, fine mouldings and brass instead of gold.

The brief

A 16 m² bedroom in a private apartment in Sofia. Designed in 2023, under construction at the time of publication.

The buttoned mauve velvet headboard sets the whole palette: the walls go to a pinkish beige, the fluted panels repeat the rhythm of the tufting and everything else stays quiet.

The mouldings are deliberately fine, and shine appears in small doses — the sphere chandelier, the sconces and the handles, all in the same brass.
