White kitchen with a cylindrical extractor beside the petrol-blue volume and a terracotta modular sofa

Republic Blu 1.1, 67 m² in Kyiv

One petrol-blue block, one terracotta sofa and a concrete ceiling: three decisions and the flat is done.

The brief

A 67 m² private apartment in Kyiv. Designed in 2023, under construction at the time of publication.

The petrol-blue block does everything at once: it closes off the entrance, hides the storage and acts as a backdrop to the white kitchen. Without it you would need three walls.

The counterpoint is the terracotta modular sofa, left loose in the middle of the room. The white panelled walls and the exposed concrete ceiling stay as the base.
